It’s a new year and new records are already being set. Across all of Goodwill Keystone Area’s 44 retail stores and donation centers, the number of people who have donated increased a double digit percent during the first two weeks of 2019 as compared to the same time last year.
This is welcome news to Goodwill. The proceeds from donations sold at its stores fund the organization’s overall mission – helping people with disabilities and other barriers to independence get jobs.
Some are crediting the donation spike to the new Netflix TV series, Tidying Up. Click here to hear from one local donor and see what kind of records are being set at our Tilghman store in Allentown.
And watch Goodwill Keystone Area President and CEO John McHenry discuss the uptick in donations and how donated items impact our mission: ABC27 News and FOX43 News
